Saturday May Ninth

Today I went to Sacramento with my old friend Nick- we participated in a bicycle scavenger hunt downtown! It was really fun- we rode bikes all over Sac and took pics and collected things from local shops. We didn't win, but we had fun- here are some sexy pics of the day!

Nick Pre-ride.
Nick had me use his bike- I left mine in SD with Davey.
We were so hot! (tired and sexy)
Nick was very skilled on his bike!
I'm so GLAD I didn't crash! Not Once! (even though I wore high heels. Some guy in the bike shop that held the event asked me if I was riding in heels- duh.)

And some pictures of Stella for Dave!

Tonight is the premiere of the NEW Star Trek movie! I can't wait, I already bought my ticket and everything. A group of friends and I are going to the theater in Times Square, with the hope of seeing many Vulcans, Klingons and Star Fleet officers. I'm totally bringing my camera.

Chris Pine is HOT.

Here is a comparison of the "Old vs. New" characters:
Spock, Chekov, Uhura, Kirk, Scotty, Sulu, McCoyHere is Spock (aka Syler from Heroes, aka Zachary Quinto) and Captain Kirk (aka Lord Nicholas from Princess Diaries 2, aka Chris Pine)

3 things

#1
I saw "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past", and it was a let down. The entire thing was about SEX and it was really dirty. Avoid if you can. Did I mention it was also cheesy? There were some good parts, but you really had to dig thru the crap to find them.

#2
Someone sent me a weird random text last night, and I do not know who it is from. This is what it said.

Y do u need a pic of my mouth
Poprocks n coke

I'm guessing it was a wrong number.

#3
It's time to go home!

How much WOOD would a Stella-Pup Chuck? I mean chew...

OK. My dog has a new found interest in sticks. She LOVES to hunt for sticks in the back yard, and then run around with them, and chew them up into little sticks. I always make her DROP to sticks before she comes back inside. So imagine my surprise when I got home on Sunday and there was a peice of WOOD on the floor. A peice of wood with WHITE PAINT on it. OMG- I thought. WHERE did this come from. I searched all over the kitchen and the second I thought I was SAFE I found it......the MOLDING. My dog ate off a peice of my parent's wooden molding.
I know I look HIDEOUS in this pic- but it is necessary to describe my emotion at the time of discovery.
My Dad flipped- so did my hubby- and I just tried to keep cool. Dave will fix it! i said. So TODAY, I went to Petsmart and found an ALTERNATIVE to real wood in the house or sticks in the yard. Here is Stella chewing on her new Rubber stick!
...Rubber stick close-up...
Chewing on the squeaky toy STICK (I'm trying to trick her- and I think it is working!)......
...squeaky toy close up...
She's quite tickled with the new toys- THANK GOODNESS!

Stella just hacked and puked while I was writing this blog! Gross! Due to stick down throat gagging. Apparently the gagging is all-stick induced- not just 'wooden' stick induced. She just puked again! ARG! If it's not one thing it's another...

Birds can shake it too!

Cats, dogs, and lab monkeys spend lots of time around human music. But no animal has ever been confirmed as moving to a beat—leading to the common belief that animals ain't got rhythm.

Snowball the parrot seems to love "dancing".

To test whether the sulphur-crested cockatoo was really keeping a beat, scientists would change the music's tempo.

His tastes may be sooo ten years ago, but the Backstreet Boys' smallest fan has helped scientists make an all-new discovery: Birds can dance.

The team theorized that dancing in rhythm relies on brain systems for vocal learning, found in humans and many parrots—an idea put to the test by another study at Harvard University.

"Across the hundreds of species in the database, we only found evidence of keeping a beat in species that could imitate sound," the lead scientist said.

From San Diego to Sacramento

So for those of you who don't know, I have moved back to Sacramento. My Sweety is following in the next 4 weeks after he graduates. I came early to get started on my job- which I love. But I MISS HIM. :( Here is a picture of us the night before I left- I know he looks kinda silly, but he was SAD that I was leaving. Now I am the one frowning. I am a dork. Love you Babe!
