Pretty pink sky

This is a picture I took today during sunset while leaning out my bedroom window. Aren't these clouds strange and bubbly? That's what I thought. The entire sky was this bright pink color, it lit up my room.
This next one is a neat pic, though the color is not quite right... (the above pic was a more accurate color representation)... but this below one makes me think I'm inside a Volcano or something! Cool.

Reptile Step-Mom

I got a call early this morning from my favorite past roommate Heidi- she is moving to Nevada TODAY and had a sudden emergency. A few months ago when we were roommates, Heidi adopted a baby turtle from Chinatown. She called the airline this morning to be sure she could take her turtle, Pip, on the plane with her, and they said NO TURTLES ALLOWED ON PLANE. Heidi LOVES Pip- she's been talking about bringing him with her to Las Vegas for MONTHS, and so this sudden turn of events was very upsetting. She called and asked if I would take Pip, and told me I could even take him back to Chinatown if I didn't want him. I wouldn't have any of that! I told her Pip will be staying with ME!If anyone is driving cross country from New York to Utah, Nevada or California, you could be the help this little fella needs to be re-united with his rightful mom!! But for the time being, I would like to introduce you all to "Heidi's Pip" who until future notice is staying with me! WE MISS YOU HEIDI!!!! And we'll see you soon!!!

Rest in peace, MJ!

Bee Sting...

Something about this kitty made me nearly laugh till I cried. The title of this picture on Cute Overload was "Waffles Grabbed a Bee." Take a closer look...Zoom in a little closer... Bahahaha....

I'm sorry, is there anything cuter than a baby Panda?

Amazing, right?
Here is everyone that came: back L to R- Brenda, Gabe, Lydia's friend, Kim, Dan, Chateau, front L to R- Me, Lydia, KristianThe stormy sky made for a beautiful background! Here is New York City from the Brooklyn Bridge (the tallest pointy building is the Empire State Building)

Photographer for a Day

My good friends Kyle and Emily are getting married! They asked if I would help them take some engagement photos and I was like... "um... you do know that I don't know anything about photography, right??" They seemed okay with that... and so we set out Saturday morning to the Cloisters, a museum practically at the northern most part of Manhattan at 190th street. Here I am looking like a photographer, I borrowed Heidi's camera- she showed me how to work it so I wasn't a complete waste. We had a blast!! And here is the crew! Kyle, Emily, me, and Mike- Mike, who is actually something of an amateur photography, came along and took several really great pics too. We had fun posing Kyle and Em, and the surroundings were just beautiful!

Halfway through picture taking we assisted in the rescue of a Robin, who somehow managed to get a string wrapped around his leg and a tree branch. Poor little thing was dangling and flapping upside down. Some park maintenance people were standing on an upside down trash can trying to free the little guy. I took this picture and then helped by cutting the string with my keys! Free at last, the Robin flew away. I hope he comes back though, there was a nest (you can see it above) right by where he was caught. I love birds.

BEST (as in Funniest) email of the day

One of my producer's wife is in labor today with their first child. I emailed him a question "Did you shoot that cat footage last month?" letting him know he did not need to respond immediately as I knew he was busy... and this was his immediate email response:

Yes… uh, hold on… (Push!!! Anna Push!!!) Oh sorry… Yeah here are the tape logs…

Everyone knows the stork brings the baby... as evidenced by the new Pixar short "Partly Cloudy" that plays before "Up".

Up and movie stars

Today I FINALLY saw Up! The new Pixar movie. It was a really great movie! Very cute, and very funny. I giggled a ton, especially at Kevin and Doug (you'll have to see the move to know who I'm talking about...) Definitely worth it, even in 3D. I don't care for 3D myself, but it wasn't too distracting for me in this film. And the short before the movie was SUPER cute, I loved it. All about Storks and Clouds and baby animals. :)ALSO, while we were waiting in line, you'll never guess who got in line behind us! John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. You may know them better as Jim from "The Office" and Emily from "The Devil Wears Prada". We later ended up waiting behind Krasinski in the concessions line. Heidi totally snapped a pic of me and Chase with the back of Krasinski's head in the line... I'll upload that pic as soon as I get a copy! :)

Land of the Lost

I saw this movie today and had a great time. It was very funny. If you are interested in a totally random humorous movie, you will like this. I wouldn't take kids to it, but if you have a sense of humor like mine you will laugh a lot. There was this one scene where I literally was laughing so hard I was crying, I thought I was going to pee my pants (thank you ginormous Diet Coke) seriously laughed SO hard.
And a good sign is- I keep remembering parts of the movie and chuckling to myself... That is a GOOD sign, it is VERY funny! :)
