Another week in the life of Stella Greer.....

Stella made a break-through this week at puppy class! She played with other puppies! It was so cute and funny- at first she was mortified. She would snap at other puppies and avoid them at all cost. But we took time letting her get used to watching the other puppies play, and she would waggle her tail and get excited like she wanted to join the fun. She would run around the other dogs and play with the people, but not the puppies! FINALLY she ventured in and although completely awkward at first (she would lay on the ground and squint like she was waiting for something bad to happen) she started jumping around and playing and was having so much fun! Mom and Dad were very tickled and VERY PROUD.

My baby is covered in freckles! Even on the bottom of her feet!

She is such a sweetie pie!

Stella reminds us constantly of Stitch from "Lilo and Stitch"

This is the look we get when she wants up on the couch- who could resist that face?

We're working on training her to do this on command- we've named t "Up Dog".

She lays like this a lot! It looks so funny!

Stella loves to sleep in our bed with us- If I'm sleeping too she ALWAYS lays so I am spooning her.

My Pet Peeve

This cracks me up. One of the many things left by my previous roommate, much to my enjoyment. He's my pet, and his name is Peeve... get it? In all actuality, the only "pet peeve" I've ever had is when people say they have a "pet peeve". I may be the only person that ACTUALLY has one! And he's a green monster dog. Love this thing. Don't worry about it, it's framed and lives in the kitchen.

Baby Turtle drama...

So I got home and was doing stuff, when I looked over at my roommate Heidi's baby turtle (she's had him for 4 days, his name is Pip... short for Pip Squeak). Pip looked like he was in a funny position to me. So I walked over to take a closer look. His little turtle tail was sticking outa the water, and his face was under the water, eyes closed. I tapped on the counter. No movement. I tapped on the plastic cage. Nothing. I tapped again, jostling the cage. Still no movement! I didn't know what to do! So, of course, I freaked out, and texted everyone I know. How could I tell Heidi her baby was DEAD!?
After a good 10 minutes, I was brave enough to put my head a couple inches from Pip, to look for any signs of life, when suddenly his little turtley eye opened! He was looking RIGHT AT ME. Then I saw another good sign, his little turtley neck looked like it was breathing. HE WAS ALIVE!!! I was so glad. I'M STILL so glad. Phew!

Here is Pip, alive and well.This whole baby turtle incident reminded me of this random scene in Stargate Atlantis. On a last minute emergency mission, Carson suddenly remembers something...

Jet setting isn't for whimps.

I spent this past weekend in California wishing "bon voyage" to Court and Matt prior to their departure to the Pacific islands of Micronesia! It was a blast, an incredibly quick trip, but OH SO worth it, and WAY FUN.

While at home, I managed to squeeze in a fabulous day at the zoo with John and his nephew Kevin (whom I adore)! Don't worry about it... it might have taken 5 tries to get this perfect pic of JT, Kebs and giraffes... but it was worth it! So cute!Turns out I only took one decent pic at the zoo, and I'm not in it! (more zoo pics are on John's site, link on right...) Here's a pic of me and John post zoo...A trip home isn't complete without a stop into the office! Here's Dad being the boss!
