How much WOOD would a Stella-Pup Chuck? I mean chew...

OK. My dog has a new found interest in sticks. She LOVES to hunt for sticks in the back yard, and then run around with them, and chew them up into little sticks. I always make her DROP to sticks before she comes back inside. So imagine my surprise when I got home on Sunday and there was a peice of WOOD on the floor. A peice of wood with WHITE PAINT on it. OMG- I thought. WHERE did this come from. I searched all over the kitchen and the second I thought I was SAFE I found it......the MOLDING. My dog ate off a peice of my parent's wooden molding.
I know I look HIDEOUS in this pic- but it is necessary to describe my emotion at the time of discovery.
My Dad flipped- so did my hubby- and I just tried to keep cool. Dave will fix it! i said. So TODAY, I went to Petsmart and found an ALTERNATIVE to real wood in the house or sticks in the yard. Here is Stella chewing on her new Rubber stick!

Chewing on the squeaky toy STICK (I'm trying to trick her- and I think it is working!)......

She's quite tickled with the new toys- THANK GOODNESS!

Stella just hacked and puked while I was writing this blog! Gross! Due to stick down throat gagging. Apparently the gagging is all-stick induced- not just 'wooden' stick induced. She just puked again! ARG! If it's not one thing it's another...

I hate dog puke! Buster would throw up if he forgot to eat enough and then ran around and it would be yellow stomach bile. Gross - good thing we had tile! ....and maybe you should leave Stella outside when you're not home - at least she can't fit through the gate in the backyard to escape!

Ya, we've started leaving her in the downstairs bedroom from now on. I think that will be MUCH better. I know- cleaning up dog puke makes me gag so hard- NASTY!
